Youth Empowerment

Right from the time of his electoral  campaign, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris had A. expressed great concern over the plight of the teeming unemployed youths and the poverty-stricken women of the State. He promised to redress their pathetic situation and provide them with a means of livelihood.

True to his promise. Governor Idris has given keen attention to issues affecting the youths, the women and the under privileged rural dwellers in the State.

A Special Adviser on Youth and Sports was appointed to complement the efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

In its effort to secure the future of the youths of the State, the administration embarked on the first phase of the Youth Empowerment scheme which will cater for a total of 2,500 youths drawn from all the Local Government Areas of the State. The programme will provide avenue for the youth to learn various trades and vocation during which monthly allowances of N4,500 will be paid to each of them. Keke NAPEP and Tricycle were given
